Bitcoin traded between $66,000 and $66,500 on March 28, reflecting a 3-4% daily decline and a 24.6% year-to-date drop. The total crypto market capitalization has fallen below $2.1 trillion amid geopolitical tensions and rising oil prices driving market fear.

In significant institutional news, Morgan Stanley filed to launch a spot Bitcoin ETF with an ultra-low 0.14% management fee, intensifying competition among providers. The ETF, projected to launch in early April 2026, could significantly expand Bitcoin access for high-net-worth clients.

However, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $296.18 million in net outflows this week, breaking a four-week inflow streak. The March 27 options expiry of $14.16 billion contributed to a 5% price drop to $65,720. Bitmine CEO Tom Lee maintains Bitcoin has outperformed inflation 97% of the time.

Ethereum trades around $2,002, with analysts offering divergent forecasts—Standard Chartered projects $40,000 long-term while Changelly caps 2026 at $3,200. New regulatory clarity on staking for proof-of-stake cryptocurrencies may attract institutional capital.
