The Middle East conflict continues to dominate global headlines as tensions escalate between Iran, the United States, and Israel. A Kuwaiti oil tanker was reportedly hit by Iranian forces, causing a fire that has since been extinguished, though damage assessment is ongoing.
US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning that Iran’s crucial energy infrastructure could be destroyed if a deal is not reached soon to end joint US-Israeli strikes. Despite this threat, Trump mentioned that “serious discussions” are ongoing with what he described as a “new and more reasonable” Iranian regime.
In a significant development, Iran confirmed the death of Revolutionary Guard navy chief Alireza Tangsiri. Meanwhile, Israel’s Knesset passed a controversial law mandating the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, drawing strong international reactions as a “dangerous escalation.”
Four Israeli personnel were reportedly killed and two wounded during combat in southern Lebanon. Additionally, two UNIFIL peacekeepers were killed in an explosion targeting their vehicle, marking the second such incident within 24 hours.
