April 2026 is shaping up to be a packed month for video game enthusiasts, with a diverse range of new releases across multiple platforms, significant updates to existing titles, and a selection of free games for subscribers.

One of the most anticipated releases is Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, an expansion arriving on April 28 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Another major title, Starfield, is making its debut on PS5 on April 7, taking full advantage of the console’s hardware. PC gamers can also look forward to Pragmata, along with an update and new story DLC for Starfield called “Free Lanes / Terran Armada” on April 7.

Several other notable games are launching in April: Darwin’s Paradox, a stealth game featuring an octopus, is set for release on April 2 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The narrative-driven Fishbowl, exploring themes of dreams, grief, and hope, will be available on PC on April 2.

Goat Simulator 3 is coming to Switch 2 on April 1. Tomodachi: Life Living the Dream is slated for an April 16 release on Switch 2 and Switch. Hades 2 is expected to launch for Xbox and PS5 on April 14, with a PC update also planned for the same day, adding bonus content and quality-of-life improvements.

Replaced will be available on PC and Xbox on April 14. MotoGP 26 races onto PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and Switch on April 29. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is also set for an April 28 release.

Beyond new games, significant updates are rolling out for popular titles. Final Fantasy 14 will receive Patch 7.5 on April 28, which is typically the precursor to a new expansion. The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will commence its first closed beta test on April 22.

For subscribers, Prime Gaming is offering 12 free PC games throughout April, including Total War: Pharaoh Dynasties and XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack. Additionally, Amazon Prime users can stream eight PC games via Amazon Luna.
