April 2026 is proving to be a busy month for new game releases across various platforms. The most significant development is the launch of Starfield on PlayStation 5 on April 7th, marking a major milestone in cross-platform gaming and ending the title’s previous Xbox exclusivity.

Bethesda stated that the PlayStation 5 version fully utilizes the hardware capabilities of the console, including DualSense features. A new expansion called “Terran Armada” was also released for all platforms simultaneously, giving players fresh content to explore in the vast space exploration game.

Pragmata, a highly anticipated sci-fi adventure game from Capcom, is set to launch on April 17th. The game has generated significant buzz with its unique setting and gameplay mechanics, promising an immersive experience for players seeking something different in the sci-fi genre.

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, a major expansion for Diablo IV, is slated for an April 28th release. This expansion introduces new character classes including the Paladin and Warlock, and features a complete rework of the Skill Tree system. Players are eagerly anticipating the new gameplay possibilities.

Other notable releases include MotoGP 26 scheduled for April 29th, and Invincible VS, a new fighting game featuring characters from the Invincible comic series, expected on April 30th. Saros, a new title from Returnal developer Housemarque, is also arriving on PlayStation 5 at the end of April.

In the indie scene, REPLACED, a cinematic 2.5D action platformer, launched on April 14th to positive reviews. Mouse: P.I. For Hire, a first-person shooter with a distinctive 1930s cartoon aesthetic, is set to release on April 16th, offering players a unique visual experience.

Pokémon Champions launched on April 8th for Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android, bringing the popular franchise to multiple platforms simultaneously. Hades II also received ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in April, making the acclaimed roguelike available to a broader audience.

The long-awaited life simulation game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream arrives on April 16th for Nintendo Switch 2. Fans have been waiting years for a new entry in this quirky social simulation series, and early impressions suggest it delivers the charm and humor the series is known for.
