Leaked images of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 have surfaced online, showcasing a dramatic redesign that could reshape the foldable smartphone market. The new “Wide” variant features a significantly broader aspect ratio compared to previous generations.
According to industry sources, the device will measure approximately 6.5 inches when folded and expand to an impressive 8.2-inch tablet experience. The redesigned hinge mechanism promises improved durability, addressing one of the most common complaints about foldable devices.
Samsung is reportedly targeting a late summer launch, with mass production beginning in June. The Korean tech giant expects to ship over 10 million units in the first year, nearly double the sales of its predecessor.
Tech analysts are divided on whether the wider form factor will appeal to mainstream consumers. “This could be the device that makes foldables truly mainstream,” said tech reviewer Sarah Chen. “But the price point will be crucial for adoption.”
