The United Kingdom’s video game industry is confronting significant challenges as a major skills shortage impacts the sector. The Independent Games Developers’ Association has proposed an eight-point plan to address education gaps.

The contraction marks the end of 14 years of continuous growth in the UK games industry. Meanwhile, Korea’s game industry showed modest growth of just 1.1% in 2025.

Several notable game titles launched on April 30, including “Invincible VS” and “Saros” for PlayStation 5.
