On December 24, under the unified command of Police Lieutenant General Panuma, Director of the Thai Immigration Bureau, and with Deputy Director Major General Pachaya in command, a crackdown operation was launched to combat crime during the New Year period, focusing on investigating illegal activities by foreigners.

The operation will run from December 26, 2025 to January 5, 2026, covering tourist areas, shopping malls, and various residential areas to prevent foreign criminals from taking advantage of the holiday season or transnational criminal gangs from infiltrating the country.

The operation will focus on cracking down on illegal entry, overstaying of visas, assisting or harboring illegal immigrants, as well as foreigners committing illegal acts in groups or engaging in activities that endanger social order and national security in public places and cyberspace.
